He's played C. It'll take a little time to adjust for him but he'll be just as effective.

I’ll give you Kuzy for this minus the 2nd. He’s lights out better than Nylander and a 1c smile

Nylander is a good centre. With wingers like that he would tear it up.

Toronto needs help now and even then they aren’t moving nylander. There was a deal posted by a Nucks fan for Carlo debrusk and a1st. That might be a bit drastic but that would change dubas’ mind.

>1m in a cap hit. Kuzy has 2 more years of term. Proven 1c and produces more than nylander. Lol he’s a way better player for a better value with more term. Just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️

“Those contracts don’t age well” teams signs Panarin and Kreider. “My guy” much rather have Nylander. Nylander the last 2 years is 97th in ppg and isn’t a center. So adding a winger to a teams with KK kreider panarin Buch and about to draft LAFF. Haha this logic is flawless. You drinking tonight?

Panarin has 95 points at 28. I think we'll be fine. I hated and will forever hate the Kreider signing. Nylander is fine at C. You want to use 97th in PPG when he signed in December of last year eh? Oh and I'm 18 so I definitely ain't drinking.

Points per game average doesn’t matter if you played 20 games or 100 games. It’s an average lol. Yeah that’s the point those contracts age just fine lmfao. Nylander is good but you could get a much much better player for that value. It’s just not good logic but this entire conversation has terrible logic.nylander is fine at C? Lol based off what? I’m done here lol

Kuznetsov already looked slowed down this year. Nylander out scored him in goals and assists and is much younger that fits our timeline. Kuzy has had some great years but I don't think I'd go for him for this deal.

He had 7 more points in 6 more games lol. That was a career year also for him. Don’t feel like arguing it’s just idiotic to think nylander is in the same tier as Kuzy lol.

You’re freakin stupid to trade Nils for a guy who isn’t a full time center. I’m not trying to be rude, but in what world does it make sense to trade our best defense prospect for a guy who is good, but hasn’t played as a center full time in the nhl level. That’s beyond dumb asset management. If I was moving Nils it’s gonna be in a deal for Cirelli, not a guy who might or might not be a top 6 center option. Sorry for the rant.

I just take a lot of stock in age and likely production decline. Nylander has some good years in front and Kuzy is going on the downswing. Can't argue that.

Trading surplus for the biggest need is bad asset management? Nylander has played C before and would be a fine 2C for us. Effectiveness will remain regardless of where he plays lol

I still feel that a better deal would be targeting someone like Cirelli who is a two way center and defensively responsible. That’d be something I can understand moving on from Nils for. But I doubt they do that considering he and Henriksson are the only assets of value from the McDonagh and Miller trade and their only chance at saving face.

I'd do Lundkvist + (Kravtsov or Chytil) for Nylander and a 2nd round pick.

Moving up 20 spots in the draft isn't worth moving Nylander for Lundkvist.

Nylander will be a ppg player sooner or later.

Avs reject faster than the NYR go up to draft Lafreniere. Kreider's contract is terrible, I wouldn't take that garbage for free.
