Trades
PIT
  1. 2020 2nd round pick (DET)
  2. 2021 4th round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
Pittsburgh dumps massive cap (bjugstad + whatever murray gets) and gets a super early 2nd (basically a late first)
DET
  1. Bjugstad, Nick
  2. Murray, Matt [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Detroit gets a starting goalie to play in the Larkin era, a warm body, and still has 2 more 2nd round picks

If you could draft a guaranteed Matt Murray in the second, you would probably be silly not to.

You're not getting the 32nd overall pick for a rebound machine goalie and a cap dump, Det declines

Detroit is going to give up a 2nd for Murray. His career stats are average at best. Compared to other goalies during that period he ranks in the 30s in both SV% and GAA. Plus he has had a really really good team in front of him his entire career.

Detroit has to get to the playoffs first and what good .921 SV% when he hasn't made it out of the first round in 2 seasons? Besides Pittsburgh isn't trading Murray this off season. If they were why did Murray start and play 3 games in the playoffs? If they had enough confidence in Jarry being their #1 next season don't you think he would have started against Montreal? I can guarantee Detroit doesn't give up the #32 pick in the draft for Murray and a cap dump.

the penguins not need to attach jugs to a trade to move him.
The center market is bare. Teams will take a run at him on a 1 year deal. He'll either play well like he has his whole career, or be injured on IR and cost them nothing....like he's done his whole career.
