Both of those Buffalo players would have a higher cost of acquisition i think. I also believe Ulmark is the next in line there... however if im Buffalo I'd go get a stud like Andersen and stop the bleeding. I just don't think Buffalo makes that deal... but as i type this out... its closer than I originally thought. Having said that, Montour an Hamonic will want higher paychecks. Hamonic certainly on the UFA market and Montour should want more.... but not much more.

Everything else seems ok, but this is predacted on Markstrom resigning in Van of course.

Sabres would take this. They can flip Andersen at the TDL too. Ullmark and Andersen would be a very good goalie tandem.

I think the value is there for this one. No issues there. But the contracts we had to issue aren’t going to fly.

I would say that the Sabres need to add.
Mikheyev, is better than Mittlestadt. And Montour is coming off a tough year.

Sabres accept. As much as I love Mitts and think he will still be a good 2nd line player, Mikheyev is already at the level I hope Mitts will be and Andersen is the perfect goalie for our system since he seems to thrive even when the team in front of him sucks

Blue Jackets decline because neither Johnsson nor Engvall gets us closer to what we really need: true top-6 scoring forwards. If Johnsson was that guy on a contending team, you'd keep him and you wouldn't ask for Anderson. We've got close to a dozen bottom-6 type forwards. We don't need two more.

Put another way:

When your offer begins with Pierre,
And Johnsson is also in there,
If we don't get Nylander,
Quite frankly, it's slander,
So I really just don't give a care.

Anderson alone? Of course not. Anderson as part of a package? Don't see why not. (Why do I always have to explain this part?)
