New day new Matthews deal Boston

Day three and this one should get a whole bunch of people heated

Out of all the teams still to go on this list I feel likely this has to be the last resort for the leafs (history of Boston trades are terrible for us)

Also don't believe Tampa would take the package but wanted to do something other than the offer sheet.

Ya Carlo is good, but hes not that good.

A fair AM34 trade to the Bs, is prolly Pasta, Carlo, for Matthews and a small piece.

That was my original plan but then I look at pastas contract and Boston says no immediately

well. Matthews slightly better than pasta IMO only thing is he costs 5 million more.

How can anyone possibly hate the Leafs? They haven't done anything significant since the 60's, and aren't a threat to do anything anytime soon either tears of joy

Boston fans will argue they are the same because of pastas goals/ point totals and when you factor in the price I'll be honest and say if I had pasta I likely wouldn't trade him for Matthews either.

theres 2 guys in the NHL id trade 34 1for1, mcdavid and mackinnon, thats not saying col and edm would but those are the only 2 players 1 for 1. a package with boston would start with macavoy and stuff would have to be added, for any boston fans replying to this gonna say it would be 1 for 1 or they wouldnt do that, then you are delusional

Your right. I wouldn't trade Matthews unless it was a player of that elk. But this is just purely to get some different things on the AGM board and it's fun to look at the different ways we could use the cap
