That ARI trade is crap. ARI get pretty much nothing of value while giving up a first pair D and a TOP10 goalie.

OEL's contract is a huge deterrent and reduces his value not to mention his production has dropped off since signing the contract extension.

Even if OEL's contract is a big one, the statistics haven't really made that huge of a drop. This year was worse than last year, but the guy is still a legit first pair D.

He's much more valuable than a fringe NHL goalie, decent bottom-4 offensive D, a decent prospect and a KHL bound D. Adding Kuemper to the trade makes it even worse.
