Two years of Domi won't get 5 years of Ehlers. Winnipeg says no.

No, he'd get laughed at for losing yet another trade.

Let's please stop with all the Ehlers B.S. He's very talented, but unless the Habs are blowing up their forward lines, he's exactly the kind of player the Habs DON'T need.

There has to be an OEL trade that makes sense for both teams, but I don't think this is it.

And, since you're nowhere near the cap, why bother trading Alzner? His contract is an eyesore, but it's harmless unless the Habs think they can actually make use of their cap this year. Otherwise wait a year and the cost of buying him out or dealing him away goes way down.

Just cause he added a center means nothing if you lose a quality winger, it's a lateral move at best and the risk of losing three years of a good value contract that Ehlers has isn't made up by getting Fleury, Weal is just a waste of cap which subtracts from the value of this from a Jets perspective.

Weal is a throw in, Domi and Ehlers same type of player and yes it would be a lateral move in a sense. The one benefit the Jets would gain is Domi at center, wingers can always be replaced, and Fleury can become promising (hes someone I dont want the Habs to trade)
