nylander 4 ehlers

Description
jets trade - jets need a decent 2c which nylander could be for them both ehlers and nylander are very similar players in styles and stats but were nylander is more valuable as he can rotate in any forward position thats why the 10 overall for 15 overall first round picks would be exchanged to make up the difference and both teams would not lose out in forward depth also ehlers brings a bit more depth to leafs left side were i belive its lacking, copp is a decent 3c and brings a good defensive game in that position and is very good at FOW, dermott could be decent top 4 dman until the jets LD prospects are ready like samberg and heinola, jets get there 2c and can look to getting a player like barron

johnsson would be a cheaper addition for probably a rebuilding team like florida trying to save money and he would be much cheaper option than resigning either dadanov or hoffman

cernak is offersheeted and signs it, unless tampa moves alot of good pieces and bad contracts just to resign him

10 overall pick downgraded to 13 overall and a second and drafted askarov were hes sent to khl for a year or 2

keep freddie this year and see whats availiable after expansion with probably many options

i really think liljegren should get the nod over sandin due to he plays a more two way game and plays a more defensive role especially on the penaly kill and would benefit the team more for next year when sandin moves up or if he did later in the year as leafs already have 2 power play dmen in reilly and lehtonen

Pretty interesting trade but I don't know if the pick swap is necessary. If you give nylander a slight edge over Ehlers and Copp an edge over Dermott, would WPG really move down? Other than that I like the value and the positional help each team gets, although these types of trades never happen sadly.

Nylander is a winger, not a center. Winnipeg says no.

This is a terrible idea. Nylander has more than a slight edge. If Tavares or Matthews go down we have kerfoot to look forward too. Nylander is too versatile to move for a player we don’t need.

Who decided that? You could probably look into all the games that Nylander has played center and see that he isn't out of place there. He plays on the wing because his team has some decent top 6 centers happy

I guess if you like his versatility then there is value there, but Ehlers is no slouch. I wouldn't have him that far behind Nylander. I didn't have him behind him before last season...

Only as an injury replacement and hasn't shown that he can do it full time.

The Carolina trade woiuld be a spontaneous trade during/right before the draft. Definitely could happen if someone falls far enough

I have been wondering about JETS Lowry as a 3rd line center. A little over paid at almost $3 MIL but a decent player who is tough.
