Jets already have a quite high pick in 10th overall. They don't necessarily need more, and aren't really into dealing Laine for those.

The Jets could get Lundell and Sanderson with the two picks or could get good center and defensive prospects with the mid first round picks

Doesn't help them now.

WPG's likely getting one of them with their own 10th pick...keeping Laine is a better option.

If Winnipeg could somehow sign Hall (doubt it) and if Jersey offers Severson, Zacha, and Ari 1st, I would trade Laine

Subban and a pick does not get you half of Marner. Subban is basically a cap dump for New Jersey with multiple years left at a high cap hit. It took the Leafs a 1st round pick to move Marleau for only 1 year and they only got back a 6th round pick. No way that gets you Marner.

Nylander deal isn't bad for value, just doesn't really fit the teams need. Severson isn't the type of guy they need and Zacha is close to a bust. Picks are nice but they'd just be used to re-flip. Be a tough call, but I think Toronto passes on that too

I would love for the nylander deal as it opens up some good options for us. Zacha can become the penalty killing center marner needs and severson is a good all around player who is 60% on the pp and pk on a bad (no offense) devils team. Put him with the leafs his stats will improve
