I figured Korpy”s value would go up because of his stellar play this postseason and how this also gets the leafs some cap leverage

Personally, I think the reason Columbus goalies are so good is because of their defence. For example, Sergei bobrovsky was one of the best goalies, until he left Columbus. Exhibit 2: Columbus made a couple of no name goalies into stars. Like tell me if you heard of merzilkens before this season. All I’m trying to say is I wouldn’t trade a established top 6 winger for a goalie that isn’t proven to have success in another team.

Thats gonna be a no

trading a real good winger on a good contract for a goalie with not a long resume is already a bad idea

add to that the fact theres so many upcoming UFA goalies the Leafs could sign (assuming Freddie goes) that wouldn't cost them a core piece, the timing makes this even worse
