Not sure you get Murray for $3m. Plus you have to trade for him. Rutherford won't let him go if you offersheet him at $3m.

I did trade for him.
He's only 3.8 now and had a bad year
Even if he signs for 4 mil, we have room in this.

I don't see Pens wanting to acquire another winger

Hawks pass, rather re-sign Crawford.

Then Delia and Lankinen get some playing time. Hawks aren’t competing, why would they trade assets for a goaltender that is that expensive and has one year left?

Murphy + Kampf >>> Anderson
Murphy is worth a late 1st and a meh prospect
Anderson not worth a 1st
Kampf is Chicago established 4th line center that is also on our top pk
So Hawks easily reject

And if Freddie gets hurt? Then we'll have traded valuable assets for nothing. Hawks say no every time.

They should be comepeting. Your losing what you have left on Kane and Toews, Duncan.
Anderson is worth a 1st

You can say they should be competing, but the team isn’t good enough, so they’re not. They’re not going to spend assets to get a goalie when the team in front of him isn’t good enough.

Andersen isn’t worth a 1st, especially not to the Hawks. Lehner is a better goalie than Andersen and he didn’t get a 1st. The Hawks don’t need a goalie, especially a UFA, so they’d be willing to pay even less.

It’s a bad proposal, give it up.

Pens have too many LW as is, and they need pieces that help them win now. 2021 2nd is not that
