Bertuzzi / Mantha deals are pretty good. About where I'd like to see them. Maybe 4-4.5M for Bert.

Way too much for Bowey. He was a healthy scratch on a VERY bad team making 1M. I doubt that translates into a 3X raise.

Vatanen signing is interesting, I feel like they need to do something to help shield the young D from getting roasted like this past season. Maybe not Vatanen, but they can't go into next year with the same group.

Where is Hronek?

If I'm Stevie Y, I'm hunt for a solid return on a cap dump or two. They've really got the opportunity to pull a Vegas expansion draft-esque haul of bad 1-2 year contracts, paired with extremely solid assets, leaving them in a good position when they're ready to compete in a couple of years (if that's the plan).

That's my thought too, try to take advantage of cap strapped teams. However, seeing how the Allen and Kapanen deals went down, being cap strapped didn't bend STL or TOR over the table too much. So not feeling too great about these assets we'd be getting back for 'bad contracts'.
