Can Makar really be in the top 3 when he's really just an extremely talented offensive-defenseman? He doesn't play the penalty-kill much and gets incredibly favorable zone starts - over 2/3 of the time in the offensive zone. He's a very special player, but I just don't think he has the complete game at this stage to really be considered a top 3 defenseman in the league. I think both he and Hughes are incredibly talented offensively, but they need to be more well-rounded to get ranked so high for me at least. I'd have Heiskanen ahead of both of them at this stage of their careers so far.
