Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Alot of fans will get upset with Marner leaving but Toffolli should provide some good offense plus getting back a elite RD (although Left handed shot) is a good deal. Money left to sign Andersen, Hyman, and Heiskanen going forward. I like Schneider as our draft pick

I dont think Dallas are in a position to take on 10 mil AAV in cap. If you want to move Marner, the first thing is taking a lot of cap back in the trade or retaining a large amount.

There’s a list of defenseman that are basically not moving for any offer, heiskanen, makar, Hughes, and the kid in buffalo. In no real order, you could ship everything but the kitchen sink at the other gm and they are not shipping them to town. In a salary cap era no chance

they have about 18 million for next season, Marner's going to eat up alot of it, but they could trade a Radulov for depth D, and then resign Heinz, Faska, and Gurianov

Or, and here me out on this. They could keep their Norris potential ELC defender and sign one of the many top 6 winger UFA's on the market.

Toronto fan sees Miro on the right side. Toronto fan proposes Miro for Marner trade. No f’s given to Dallas’ cap situation. Toronto fan goes on UFA spending spree. No f’s given to extending Miro next year. Y’all are a mess. Even if you took cap space with Miro I wouldn’t do the trade. We’ve got this current push and maybe next year where it’s Jamie’s team. Then they need to build around Miro. If we lose tonight I could argue now may be the time

LOL Toronto fans are the best.
Feel bad for them, they are so far removed from reality and their cap hell its actually sad.

In reality, the Stars actually have about $13M in cap space, due the overage penalty they will have to pay out that will be taken out of their salary cap space for next season.

Value isn’t worth it either for Dallas, but they also don’t have the cap space to accommodate Marner’s contract.
