Leafs fans, like fans of every other team, will value their players differently than other teams would. Parayko won't come cheap, which is fine he would be worth it considering he has two years left on his deal at a reasonable cap hit. Marner and a first to get the talks started? Not a chance.

Parayko will very likely stay put, which would be a smart thing for the Blues to do.

No, I wouldn't say that, 1 Marner is already overrated. His value drops with a friggin 10 Million dollar pay day yeah see how that works out when he doesn't have his carrying teammates. And if you don't see Blues have the high ground on this one. We are the one with the cheap contract of a TOP 3 DEFENSIVE DEFENSEMAN. Defenseman are underrated, and the market for Defenseman is picking up. Not as many good Defenseman anymore especially Right Handed. You need one, as you can see Parayko is the best option you see, even Pesce, and Lindholm, and Manson haven't even taken that offer. What's next NHL Market Value for defenseman is way higher than a Forward.

And in case you haven't noticed. I don't even want Marner. I don't want the trade to happen. Nylander does not help the Blues. We are a contending team not a friggin rebuilder lol. As a Toronto fan and if you are a diehard Toronto fan, how can you sit here and only talk about "90+ points" and can't bring up advanced stats or even how he plays Special Teams almost all the time?

Marner is not a Goalscorer he is a playmaker and since you want to bring up stats with Ryan O Reilly ok Marners G/60 0.6 , O Reilly 0.5 , Marners A/60 2.0 and O Reilly is also 2.0 and thats even strength on the PP Marner is a G/60 1.8 , A/60 5.4 while O Reilly is a G/60 of 0.6 and a A/60 of 4.5 and a more comparable player in Tarasenko who is also a RW at Even Strength his G/60 is 0.9 and A/60 is 2.2 he beats Marner but on the PP he is a G/60 of 2.4 and A/60 of 4.9 better goalscorer not better playmaker than Marner on the PP
