That defense, though. Maybe balance some of those resources to shore up the blue line.

They are all prospects rn except for fox Trouba and Lindgren. Give them the 2 years and I think they would all be nhlers

the cap isnt 87 million, It will be 81.5. knowing that plenty of you players will have good years and you have cap space carry over, I dont think you will have much cap space to work with to afford Cirelli and Ovi

Even at 81.5, ovi at 1 year 8 mil comes off at the time when we need to resign kakko and laf. Also 6 mil for 5 years or so is a decent value to trade cirelli if need be

Again, y'all have about 11 million in possible performance bonuses next year. Y'all will only carry about 3-4 million in cap space next season. I would bet y'all far exceed 3-4 million in performance bonuses. I doubt y'all have the cap space to afford 8 million in FA signings. Ya'll dont have the cap space for Cirelli this off-season.

Are you taking about the 2021 offseason (next years offseason)? Because if so, hank staal and smith come off meaning about 19 millions opens up. With that alone we can sign our free agents in 2021 and then add ovi

yes. All that money comes off. I would bet y'all have 4 million+ in performance bonus carry over from 20-21. To have the required cap space to be compliant in 20-21 y'all cant afford Cirelli .

Doesn’t cap friendly track it tho? If they do then it’s already in the books here

not for futures, no. It doesnt add that Laf will have 2.85 million in possible bonuses when you create him for next season.

I know, but Miller is not top-pair material though. And I have a love/hate thing with Trouba. I think adding a #1 LHD would make lineup much better.

im interested in how you afford Cirelli next offseason while not busting 3 million in cap space. Y'all have to have 3 million in cap space to be cap compliant.

So here I’ll explain.
Start with Strome, skinner +Carolina first for cirelli rights
Smith + Rykov for a 7th(Any team)
Staal +Andersson+4th for 7th (Minnesota)
We sign Georgie 2x3, Deangelo 4.75x3, Lem 1.15x3
Sign chara 3x1 and then we have $4,776,666 in cap

ok so you are assuming that any team would take on Staal and Smith. that is asking a lot with the little throw ins you added.

Well Minnesota is looking for a bottom pair LhD man and so are the kings so either could take the deals. This is info from other posts on agm. Staal could fit on minny with his bro while Kong’s would be happy with smith eating bottom pair minutes while their dmen develop more

both are looking for bottom pair defenders, sure. They are looking for capable roster players they want to keep in the future. The additions you put in there dont move the needle to take on 5 million of a 7th defender.

Tbh. Rangers have a surplus of assets and picks that can sweeten the deals so say we add more, we still get them off our books and have that cap space. Then after that season, hank disappears from the books and we get a solid team built

No freaking way is Cirelli only taking $6 million per in high taxed New York. You'd have to offer him Trouba money to make similar of what he'd make here in Tampa.

If we trade for him and he’s an Rfa under us, he may take 6.25 also.

Tampa declines your offer, There's no way you're getting Cirelli for that package.

He has to sign that offer sheet, Guarantee you, It would need to be at least $8 million per. For him to sign it.
