Unless MIN moves out Brodin, they have no use for Dermott. So remove him and the 2nd and value wise you're in the ballpark

Quick is a pretty big downgrade on Freddy and has an awful contract. I could be for that if he had only 1 year left, not 3

CGY declines, Bennett is a leader there

Kings accept. Prepare to get yelled at by Leafs fans for taking Quick.

I think, as a Ducks fan on the east coast, I would very much enjoy watching Scorey Perry on the Leafs for his final year or two.

I mean it's not the Kings fan that proposed this, we are too busy fielding low ball offers for Matt Roy on ACGM, lol.

The last position Minnesota needs is a LW. Even moving out a LW they have too many still. MN passes.

With Fiala, Hartman and Kaprizov being perfectly able to play RW it's not the worst problem for you guys

Not if they plan to ever play Fiala and Kaprizov on the same line.

LWs: Parise, Donato, Greenway, Zucc, Boldy in a year. Fiala/Kaprizov. We don't need more LWs.

I'm fine with trading Foligno, Make it a 2nd round pick or a center/LD prospect.

1.) Do not trade Foligno. He has intangible qualities that don't show up on the scoresheet. Captaincy material type of player.
2.) You're close. at RW: Fiala, Kunin, Zucc, Hartman LW: Parise, Kaprizov, Greenway, Foligno

They also have no use for Johnsson. Foligno is a solid penalty killer and locker room leader, they'll keep him.

Cool story, now where do you play Parise, Zuccarello, Greenway, Donato, and Kunin?

They don't need to bring in new wingers.

If I had to guess, their top 6 will be:
Parise/Staal/Fiala because that line was really good
Kaprizov/Ek or an acquired center/Zuccarello because Kaprizov could use a passer like Zucc to set him up. I think those 2 could be a good combo. Ek between them could be good like Zucker/Koivu/Granlund a couple years ago.

I love Foligno and agree on his intangibles. However, I'm on the train of thought that the next time the Wild are going to be true contenders for the cup Foligno will be out of his prime so we should maximize the return with can get on him. Plus his style of play tends to deteriorate the quickest in the NHL and I'd hate to give him a lot of money to see him become an anchor in a few seasons.

I would take Quick for three years. You can yell at me all you want. I don't think he is an asset to LA, I think he is getting the same treatment Belfour got on his way out of Dallas. LA has been old and terrible. I think the leafs could even get LA to retain more salary... but I would love to see a Crawford, or a Quick type in TO for a couple years... I get the argument that 3 years left is too much... but I wouldnt go with a tandem with Campbell. He is a perfect backup... but hes not capable of playing more than 30 games. He is basically Glenn Healy.

Leafs aren't getting Petro. He is too expensive... and I don't see how they could without moving Nylander... which at this point would significantly hurt the right side up front. They have to move left wingers to fit in Robertson and Mikheyev. I love Perry.
