Description
Columbus Deal: Blue Jackets have been seeking top offensive talent. Nylander has played center in the past and could slide into their 2C spot. However Leafs wont be interested in the Hall/Larsson type of deal. Jackets are rumored to be willing to trade a goalie to get that offensive help. This deal could make sense for both sides.

Calgary Deal: Took the rumored deal online minus Rittich as Leafs wont need to take him back now that they got their goalie.

Nashville Deal: Just a deal I thought might work for both sides to mix up the dynamic and makeup of their teams.

St Louis Deal: Long rumored deal to get Parayko except Kerfoot replaced Johnsson in the deal. Gives the Blues a top 9 who can play PK, also frees up 2 million to try and re-sign their captain.

Leafs have been long rumored to be interested in Thornton. Figured him and Spezza rotate on the 4th line.

parayko offers start with sandin. they also woulnt take kerfoot back, the point of a parayko trade is to free up cap

To be honest I think that fits Toronto better. Would hate to give him up but our left side is pretty crowded.

Yeah hes also your best d prospect. Cant give up parayko without even getting their best d prospect

You’re definitely not getting Bennett and a 1st for Andersen. Calgary wouldn’t give up 1 of those pieces for Andersen, let alone both.

TBH, I might skip going for Parayko and instead looking to sign free agents like Radko Gudas (or DeMelo as everyone says), or trying to acquire Pesce or Roy or Walker in trades. You save money, and don't have to give away your best defensive prospect.

I don't think Parayko is realistic without an extension, simply because he and RIelly are UFA in 2 years.

That's really a nonsense trade for Calgary, for one year of Andersen.
The team is would be weaker at the forward position, but stronger on defence. But really the team isn't any better.
