Is there anything you need less than another center. You could just send boston the 6 picks you traded to get the pieces you traded them and skip all the other nonsense

If im BOS, id rather get 2 pieces of high value instead of 4 pieces with medium value

Quality > Quantity

I know the lesser trades aren't the point, but I think it's weird it costs MTL a 5th to move up one round into the 3rd, but only a 7th to move up into the 2nd round in a separate trade.

im just doing it quick to prove a point to some buddies of mine. assume montreal already has those exact picks and players is that trade for 50% retained krejci fair value?

just grade the trade value, dont look at anything else. just the value in that one trade. dont take the habs team into consideration, dont take bostons, is that fair value for 50% retained krejci

No, I agree with @McRanteskog . Fewer, better pieces would be needed.

Neither prospect is awesome, ranta looks like he can be an nhl guy but the Swedish kid Idk. With half and thats alot here with krejci contract I say no boston probably declines.

Hmm,,, as much as draft picks are nice I see no reason to move on from Ranta so soon. He's actually had a good couple of seasons since being drafted 78th overall. We're not so deep at LW either so I don't see any reason why we'd give up on him for a mystery box that likely won't have an impact until 2025 at the earliest.

What point are you trying to prove to your friends? Value's about fair I guess although I don't see any interest on either sides of the trade.

Don't trade Krejci and he has no interest in playing in MTL.
