Ewe.

Burns is still an elite player. Turris is at best a depth player. No thanks.

Georgiev is not worth a first, nor is he worth 3 million/season. Braun and Rutta will likely get more.

Apart from the Georgiev trade which is a big overpay, everything is fine here. Not sure why Nashville would do that though. Just doesn't really makes sense for them.

Tbf it'd be a very late 1st rounder but if SJ is able to get him for a 2nd and for less money on an extension, DW should jump on that deal.

Nabby would get his young Russian to mentor and it also would give SJ peace of mind to leave Jones exposed in the draft with a plan in net if he gets picked.

You're probably right about Braun/Rutta but believe it or not evolving-hockey has Rutta going for less than what I put and Braun at about that price.

NSH does not need nor want Burns and that contract. Turris is signed for 4 more years at $6m and is 31 years old -- Burns has 5 years left at $8m and is 35 years old. Regardless of value, that is not the kind of deal NSH would be looking at if they try to trade Turris.

edit: oh, and I didn't even see the retention... not a chance. So NSH goes from $6m to $9.5m on the cap after a Turris trade. This is a bad, bad trade.

Retention would be the other way around on NSH trade...

Big overpay on Georgiev, if you want a young goalie who hasn't gotten a real chance, get Adin Hill.

Does burns have a no trade, if he efdects what they can keep on the blue line in the expansion draft they probably pass. They probably pass anyways but its a good try to get that contract gone before its too late.
