Are you nuts?
That's not even remotely close to a sound offer for Carlo

He's a 20 point d man with 1 year left until hes an arbitration eligible RFA. B's save cap space, get an LD that can help fill the hole if Krug leaves, a good C prospect and a 2nd round pick. That's pretty good value IMO

Why would Boston trade a cheap, young RHD to a divison team for a significant downgrade in Dermott, a RFA who they won't sign, a meh prospect and a pick?

I still believe in Dermott, but his value isn't anywhere close to being a significant portion of this deal.

Hes a rock on the back end obviously. Bruins get worse from the trade and the 2nd/Abramov isnt enough to balance out the roster difference. I like Dermott, but Rodrigues doesnt make sense for B's. Dont really see B's trading Carlo to TOR unless they get a package they cant refuse. Doesnt make sense, hes cheap, reliable, young. Not gonna give that up for Dermott and spare parts.

I can't see boston doing that. They have depth everywhere and no need to panic even if krug and chara left. They arent trading Carlo on top of that and be down 3 of their top 4 in one offseason. Carlo isnt flashy but hes an above average defender, and hes cheap.

Yeah because points famously matter a lot when evaluating defensive players. He could have zero points and this deal would still be bad. He's a 23 year old, 6'5 RHD who is fantastic defensively.

a 20pt shutdown d-man who sees no PP time and is basically not allowed to jump up on the play because Krug is below average defensivley. Boaton isn't moving him to Toronto because 1. He's exactly what Toronto needs on the backend and 2. They don't want to have to face him for the mext 10-15 years

Lol. No. It isn’t. It would take a 1st plus. If he was available which he he is not. They would not part with him for Landeskog last year. You think they want that steaming pile of 💩 for him? Rask/Krejci/Backes contracts all come off the books when Carlo’s contract comes up. That’s 16m off the books. They don’t need to clear space for him.
