Okay then. Let me ask you this - is Reinhart a step down from Nylander in any way? I think they're pretty equal.

Yes Reinhart is astep down from Nylander...

sad just sad

Thats just the thing though. They have seen success in their current approach. They are both just coming off their best seasons ever. You are trying to use playoff series wins as a measure of an individual player and it simply doesn't work that way in a team game like hockey.

Individually both are doing good, but their teams aren't. Hence I considered this as a in-team shakeup.

How? They contribute individually pretty much in the same level, yet Reinhart plays in one of the worst teams in the league and Nylander plays in, for what it's worth, a playoff team.

Why would teams shakeup one of the few things going well for them when they arnt doing good? It makes no sense. You shake up the parts that are struggling, not the parts doing well.

You are trying to make the argument that the Leafs defense sucks, they better trade Muzzin in order to improve it.

Because "going well" isn't good enough in terms of team success of both teams, apparently. There's a chance it could get better, but as I said before, it's a long shot and probably won't happen.

At the end of the day, neither team isn't losing much, but both teams can potentially get better after a move as such. That's just how I view it anyway... Probably sounds stupid...

If Tor trades Nylander it's for cap reasons to bring in D and taking Reinhart in return doesn't help them in that department.
What I find funny tho is before/after Nylander signed his contract most Tor fans wanted Nylander gone but after a great season now not so. If he had scored 20 or less this season he would be a big candidate to be traded and Reinhart for Nylander would have been taken in a heartbeat.
If AP is the target it would be crazy that with a flat cap at least half if not more goes to 4 players considering Nylander is traded. Still think signing Tavares was a mistake. Kadri was fine as a 2C and imagine what kind of holes could be filled with 11M...JMO
