I feel like we’d be lucky to get a 3rd for Andersson at the moment.

I mean SJ is better off signing Greiss to a contract for probably 500K less and he's way better.

If he signs there. Never know, at his age it's all about winning.

Even 50% retained you will have to pay a team to get rid of hank, your not getting picks and players for him
Sharks decline easily

What about something around Vlasic for Trouba? Two struggling players with big cap hits for many years? It solves NYR's "issue" with too much RD, and Vlasic doesn't seem very happy in San Jose.

Trouba is much younger, so that is a plus, but Vlasic is slightly cheaper and has hit highs Trouba hasn't yet. I haven't watched much of New York; what is going on with Trouba?

I wouldn't even consider that.

I guarantee you if he gets dealt it will be for value. You don't know what you're talking about. Martin Jones is that level.

See I’m a realist Martin Jones has the potential to bounce back.... but I doubt it will happen and he has High negative value and I doubt anyone would trade for him
Hank is 38 8.5 mil and GAA the last 3 years 2.98 3.07 3.16
Where the hell is his value dude

Hank as a backup with his experience and at a $4.25M cap hit is a solid option compared to overpaying for FA goaltenders or being a top bidder on the trade market. Don't forget that in trades you can even salary as well.

You are just pressed for literally no reason. If we traded Lundqvist for a 5th round pick to Vancouver with one of their bad deals like Baertschi to even salary does that sound asinine? maybe in your mind I guess...

Your arguing how valuable a now 38 year old at best below average backup making 8.5 mil Is worth. He was great he WAS amazing but it’s been a while and he’s not that guy anymore
Based on the current market your not getting anything for him. There are two options Buy him out or trade Georgiev and keeping him as your backup next year and moving on next season. To move hank at this point is nothing more than a cap dump and will cost NY picks. Don’t do that to the guy let him finish his great career and walk out head held high

I personally don't see him waiving his NMC. Moot point in all honestly. It's not an $8.5M cap hit if you retain half and take back a contract that the Canucks are sitting on. Come on it's common sense. Would you rather pay Henrik Lundqvist to backup Demko or Sven Baertschi to rot in your AHL affiliate?

The whole point I’m arguing is you have him going to San Jose for a 3rd and sorenson and I’d way rather have kept sorenson and gotten Allen for the price. You’ll be hard pressed to find a team willing to bite on hank even if he waived his ntc

What does this have to do with SJ? They have no cap space to work with since Wilson throw it all away. Like I said, I don't see him waiving, for anyone. Retirement is the likely path.
