Buffalo says no, we aren’t taking that cap dump for a potential locker room cancer in MCCann who’s been already traded twice and a goalie on the down turn

McCann for Miller similar value
Larsson rights worthless
So Murray to move JJ? Does not help the Pens whatsoever, JJ can be buried or bought out for cheap and Murray needs moved for actual help winning now. Clearing 3M in cap space doesn't get them closer to a cup

JJ also is an upgrade at Buffalo's 3LD, but I doubt you agree

What about GMJR's post-elimination comments makes it seem even remotely likely that he pays to dump Johnson?

If by upgrade you mean nobody is currently occupying that spot then yes. However I would literally take any of our LD on Rochester over JJ I would take any free agent over JJ. And you're over valuing murray. Who has the least amount of value in his career. Besides a subpar year by murray. There is an influx of free agent goal tenders and the belief that pit wants to move on from him. For all 3 reasons murrays value ia plummeted

Johan Larsson one of the best defensive centers in hockey. So he’s not useless. Buffalo can just call up Jacob Bryson from Rochester JJ is a cap dump they don’t need anymore bad defenseman.

That's too much cap for us to take on. If you take Okposo back then I'm sure we can work something out

Moving JJ helps a lot. They would no longer be tempted to use him. Also he still costs over $2 million on the cap buried. This helps a lot.

Dont want murray and jack johnson is a poison pill. So the best part of this is a guy who plays center that has attitude problems. We dont have a strong vet room, and from the top down our franchise is a joke. Even without murray and johnson this is iffy at best for us.

Man sabres fans are the worst at over valuing their players when their team absolutely is a dumpster fire

Is it worse not having expectations or to always fall short of them? As a Sabres fan I can vouch for the fact that by and large Sabres fans are among the most knowledgeable hockey fans out there. Every Fanbase has people who only watch their own team, but Buffalo watches hockey constantly. We are always among the highest TV viewing markets even when we are not participating. That is not debatable, it is a fact. If a Sabres fan is giving you an evaluation of players he watches all the time and players he watches whenever he can you might want to listen. He’s probably watched just as much hockey as you or more.

Since when has McCann been labeled a locker room cancer? Certainly no problems in Pittsburgh.

Once again no proof of this whatsoever. McCann has had no problems in pittsburgh and none that i remember in florida. Take your BS take and go home.

lmao just because someone watches hockey at home sitting on the couch does not mean anything.

Not every professional scout is a former player. That does not mean they never played hockey before, just not professionally. Watching is what scouts do. They watch players and see what they do well, how they react in certain situations. They see what they don’t do well, and how they make adjustments throughout the game and the season. You pay attention to a player’s stride and see just how hard he has to work to get up and down the ice. You pick up player tendencies and attitudes, and you gain a general idea of what they are capable of. As a fan I watch more than just the guy carrying the puck. You may not know what they’re like in the locker room, but you know how they are on the ice.
