Have any sources to back your claim up? Cause i can gurantee that you dont touch any of the Canadian cities.

The TV viewing metrics that I see year after year are for American TV markets only. But more than 2/3 of the league’s teams are in the United States. I would wager that Buffalo has as much TV viewership by percentage at least of hockey as any Canadian market. Every bar you go to or restaurant with TV has a hockey game on if there is one to watch. They might also have a baseball game or a football game on, but there is always one one more on a hockey game. Sure, there are plenty of Sabres fans who no longer care once the Sabres are not playing. But I think for every one of those there are at least two who watch hockey because hockey is on.

Buffalo says no, we aren’t taking that cap dump for a potential locker room cancer in MCCann who’s been already traded twice and a goalie on the down turn

Source on McCann being a locker room cancer?

Ok... this is literally any bar with a hockey team in the entire country. And this is all perception. No hard facts at all.

Isn't it funny how sabres fans said those asinine statements but now they cant back it up once people called him out and asked for proof?

You can try to question my personal experience, but I doubt that serves any point you’ve tried to make. My point is basically everywhere you go in the Buffalo area if there’s a TV hockey is on. Everybody watches all the time. Many of us grew up in hockey rinks, in hockey families, watching Hockey Night in Canada, picking it up on local cable. It’s been said that Buffalo is the most Canadian of all American cities. That’s not just because of Tim Hortons, but hockey being in our blood year round.

Not every professional scout is a former player. That does not mean they never played hockey before, just not professionally. Watching is what scouts do. They watch players and see what they do well, how they react in certain situations. They see what they don’t do well, and how they make adjustments throughout the game and the season. You pay attention to a player’s stride and see just how hard he has to work to get up and down the ice. You pick up player tendencies and attitudes, and you gain a general idea of what they are capable of. As a fan I watch more than just the guy carrying the puck. You may not know what they’re like in the locker room, but you know how they are on the ice.

And those scouts go wayyyyyyyyy deeper than just watching games on their television. Just stop

Of course they do, I’m not an idiot. They travel and watch games in person. They find out about players’ workout and training habits and diets. They interview players. I’m not a scout obviously. But you don’t get the job without demonstrating exceptional knowledge of the game and diagnostic capabilities generated from watching the game in a non-professional capacity.

Even looking past the trade here (which I have no interest in), Johan Larsson as a UFA is worth a hell of a lot more than 1.2M.

Wow so your describing literally every hockey town. Minnesota is the same way. Gotta love how i ask for actual evidence towards your statement and you fail to give it. Why wouldnt i question your personal experience newsflash just because a bar has hockey doesnt mean everyone is watching it. Im sure their are plenty of fans that turn on the Bills over the Sabres. Unless you have actual evidence to support your claim that Buffalo fans know so much more than every other fan base cause they watch other teams just stop making a fool of yourself.

Obviously there has not been an empirical study to prove what I’m telling you. So I’m not sure what evidence you’re looking for. But even if there had been I don’t know if you would believe it. It seems you have already made up your mind. I also did not say that buffalo hockey fans know more than everybody else, simply that buffalo’s hockey knowledge is at least as good as anyone else’s. It certainly has value, and we do know what we’re talking about when we tell you that a certain player is a better fit for our current team than another one would be. I don’t know why you’re calling me a fool, it seems rather foolish to resort to name calling to back up your own point. Take care of yourself, have a good night.
