That trade seems to have fair value but I still think both sides pass and if not most likely the Habs do for sure.

Need to stop with the Pietrangelo signings, I get this is all hypothetical but the guy is never signing in Winnipeg ever so let's just try to keep it somewhat realistic.

Not getting enough for Pionk and don't like that return for Laine, Petry is a rental so Suzuki and a 2nd, meh, I'll pass.

As much as we’d love Laine....no chance Habs do that

Dahlstrom isn't enough for taking Perreault.

Ya probably, it’s irrelevant to the post other than removing his salary!!

Dude, if I want to sign Mcdavid for minimum wage I’m going to do it. And why wouldn’t he sign in Winnipeg?

They can protest all they like, don't care, compare Laine's rookie year at 18 to Suzuki's rookie year as a 20 year old, Laine would of broken 30 goals had the stoppage not happened, that's three 30 goal seasons and a 40 goal season since he's entered the league and was almost a point a game player this season, there's no reason to trade Laine unless the return is massive and Suzuki, a 2nd and an old rental isn't a massive return, period.

You know why, Winnipeg is tops on 99% of no trade lists and it's not a market that attracts high end free agents which Pietrangelo is.

It's just the way it is, a city in the middle of nowhere that isn't a big metropolis with high Canadian taxes, cold winters and is a fishbowl where hockey players are scrutinized by fans and media just isn't going to be a high end free agents first choice when it comes to picking where he wants to play hockey for the next 6-8 years.
Also Pietrangelo just won a cup so he isn't chasing that, maybe if he hadn't and Winnipeg was a contender(it isn't) he'd consider it but even then he probably wouldn't.

Do a quick Google search on his family situation, there's a less then zero chance he's coming to Winnipeg, I get this is all fantasy but this site is better when posts are kept on the realistic side.

I see three landing spots for Pietrangelo,
St. Louis, Toronto or Anaheim with him staying in
St. Louis as the most likely to happen.

Man in this post alone you’ve told me to stop posting Pietro signings (to which this might be my first ever) and I should keep it more realistic. 7x9.3 is not realistic? Is it not realistic for the Jets to try and sign the best UFA dman when he is exactly what this team needs. Your opinion means nothing. If you don’t like my post then just leave. Go troll someone else. I’ve been through this with you before. It’s tired man.

Calm down, when he signs in St. Louis this will be a moot point, not trolling at all.
