I know that a Habs armchair GM roster posted that Danault trade, but I think that Danault goes for immediate help, not futures. MTL says no.

i agree with you there my friend. danault is worth a lot imo and i could see a trade with buch involved but without the 1st. i could see buch and a 3rd for danault. what do you say?

No, Buch score 21 goals one season, he’s a middle six winger, not a legit top6. I like the offer above tho, fair trade

Personally, he is imo a solid too 6 winger from watching him play. I’m biased but he has had many good games this season after a little cold streak in December-January

We could work a trade without Danault if we really want Buch tho

I think the Canadiens would consider it. I can't say for sure if they would accept, but they need a guy like Buchnevich: a young RW who can score. Pro-rated over an 82-game season, Buch got 55 points last season. If you want Danault, I'm sure a package centred around Buchnevich could be arranged.

Honestly, I think MTL can get more for him if it’s to a place he will resign. And I think NYR would offer more. Danault would be make this team a lot better.

With all the wings NYR is stockpiling, Chris Kreider is starting to look like a luxury. I wonder how interested MTL would be in him.

Kreider for Danault (with whatever picks / salary to balance out). Good idea?

Personally I don't see Buchnevich as the type of winger we would want. I am just basing this off of his points over the first 4 seasons but he seems like a pass first type of winger. Only the 2018-19 season saw him put up more goals than assists and it was his only 20+ goal season. For a team looking for a top 6 scoring winger that doesn't scream goal scorer.

Blueshirts are better off signing Strome, DeAngelo and Georgiev on short term deals and buying out Hank. Please no more mediocre players who make NY a semi-retirement home and no more NTC/NMC. We had to have Shattenkirk and now it's 6+ million in dead cap for 20/21. Denault has 1 year before he demands 7+ Million and a long term deal (with NTC/NMC). Lets see what we have in this kid Morgan Barron and draft another center with the # 22 pick (Connor Zary, Jacob Perreault or Mavrik Bourque) and deal with Strome for 2-3 years
