I'd take that deal and run if I was the Islanders.

I've only watched Cirelli a bit, is he really worth $7M a year?!..

Also I think Toffoli ends up back in California, would probably need a different winger in that spot I'm guessing.

In my opinion yes, exactly what we need and prob the best center on the “market” this year.

For what? Pulock is a legit top pairing defenceman, he is not a scrub

I get that the post is about Chevy having big boy pants on, but we don’t need dell at 2.4m. Sign brossoit to 1m and use the other space on a 22 player. Also, I think isles would need to add to that swap. Maybe Pulock+Wilde for Connor and Spacek?

I also think Cirelli is worth around 6-6.5 but if it takes 7m to get him to sign do it.

Pulock is slightly better than Connor and even if you want to make the argument that isles should add, the difference is not bode wilde.

Yeah the main reason why I signed Dell is because a solid backup is going to be very crucial this year with the condensed schedule and all. The teams that are still left all have pretty solid backups for the most part. I feel that if we could give poor Helle a break he would not wear out like we have seen a couple of times

Ehlers is the better player then Connor and it isn’t close honestly

Connor shows up for every shift and can play in almost all game situations and that is why he is on the first line and Ehlers is not.

It's a good thing you're not the Islanders. There's no way they can take on a 7 million dollar cap hit and still sign Barzal. Even if it was Pulock they traded.

Paul Maurice makes ALOT of mistakes, and Connor playing way more then Ehlers is one of them. Ehlers makes the most happen every shift. He is one of if not the best transitional players in the league, is great offensively and is the only player in that top 6 who is good defensively. The only thing Connor has over ehlers is finishing in around the net, which he has to get carried by Scheifele to do so. Ehlers drives his own line. I really don’t get how jets fans think Connor is better.

Yes Cirelli is worth 7 mill on a longterm deal imo. He’s a 2C who can score 50pts and plays a solid 200ft game. He has the same impact as a guy like Konecny who got a short term deal at 6 mill (he’s also a centre who’s more valuable than a winger) or even Hayes at 7 mill.

Also Pulock for Connor imo is pretty fair for both teams. Isles would need to dump one of their forwards tho

I like Connor but he's the softest player the Jets have, if it came down to one of Ehlers, Laine or Connor to be traded I'm trading Connor all day every day.

Yeah I wonder which one though, it would prob be Martin or Komarov I feel like. Regardless I would still pull the trigger.

I agree Maurice makes a lot of mistakes but this where I stop agreeing with you especially the point where he is the only one player who is good defensively. I am an Ehlers fan but Connor is just a little bit better.

Pretty sure Spacek signed in Europe, he might have an NHL out clause though idk, he must've got tired of being ****ed around by the Jets.

Would be great to pick up a young bigger RHD somehow though, the Jets prospect pool for RHD is almost empty.

Martin is a UFA. They would need to trade Bailey and sign a D like DeMelo.

I agree with this. I also think that cap space would be more valuable used on LHD. I don't think Samberg/Niku will cut it as your #2 & 3 options on that side.
