Sabres would decline. So would Kuznetsov, he’s very overrated.

He's very very good but if Caps want to make a big change like it's being rumored it makes sense it would be Kuz.

I'd bet my life that Sabres accept that instantly. They desperately need to make the playoffs and need a 2C. Unless they find someone better they are taking that deal.

Honestly I think the sabres keep the pick (cause its a very deep draft this year) and just wait for cozens to become that 2nd line center. Quick fixes haven't worked in the past for the sabres and I think they've learned from that

I totally agree that that's the correct thing to do 100% (because maybe you get lucky and Rossi falls to 8 and he can be the 2C instantly) but I don't know if BUF is smart enough to do it.

In the last three years he's 3rd on the team in points in the regular season and 1st in the playoffs, but fanbases always needs a scapegoat, and right now for the Caps it's Kuzy. In reality he's not going anywhere, and even if the Caps really did want to trade him his 15 team NTC would limit their options significantly.

I've watched the Caps since the 90s, that's why I know how stupid it is to want to run a 70+ point 1/2C who consistently produces in the playoffs out of town just because he's inconsistent and sucks at defense. I've seen this team struggle with having crummy middle 6 centers and guys who wilt in the playoffs for way too long to want to go back to that.

Habs arent trading Domi for a 29 year old D. Orlov isn’t close to fair value.
