Vancouver trade is the only one that might happen.

Winnipeg?... seriously, take 3 roster players, 2x 1st's and gut their prospects on D (a position they are weakest at) for Eichel.
Unless your plan is for Eichel to be on another garbage team and not make the playoffs, this won't happen.

Detroit isn’t paying for a cap dump and KHL defensemen.

Kings have those players. Kings wouldn’t trade the 2overall for 8 and 17... the most they drop back would be to 5 but it’s not happening. I’d argue the most they drop back is 3.

Replace Laine with Connor and drop the 2021 1st, take McCabe and the pick from Buffalo out and I think it's fairly close, maybe add Copp, could probably drop one or both Niku and/or Stanley, they really don't do much for the Sabres.

Nah, Eichel would still have a good nucleus around him in Winnipeg and adding him would instantly vault the Jets back into contender status, if this is all it takes to get Eichel and the Sabres would trade him(they shouldn't though) the Jets should make this trade.

How are they contenders?

you add $10M in Eichel money, you get a star center. fine.

But now you have $6M to sign 3 defenseman, a backup goalie, and about 4 bottom 6 forwards.
and that is just to have a full roster, not even a legitimate contender.

go make that trade and show a team, you have zero depth, and are relying on rookies to carry the load.

you'll have to shed more roster players to make room.

Yeah there's a bit too much in here for Eichel but that much.
