I don't even think Blues are interested in moving Dunn whatsoever. He's not a salary relief for a Petro signing. Bozak, Steen, Sanford, are more of those players, but as much as I love Dunn. Marco Rossi is a phenomenal player and highly doubt Devils do this either.

I think if you can get into the top-10 you might consider it, especially if you believe in Perunovich.

Gritsyuk is probably NJD‘S best forward prospect. #7 is a premium pick. It’s probably a package closer to player like Sergachev.

As a blues fan I am open to it, the LD is pretty weak though. Not sure if Devils would be ok with it.

No gritsyuk then? I liked him a lot that’s why I threw him in there. Dunn and Sergachev are very comparable imo

Sergachev is quite a bit better than Dunn, IMO. Not at knock on Dunn. Both solid players. But think the former would be better trade target for NJD, even at higher price.

Gritsyuk is a human highlight real. His ceiling is very high- 1st line winger. I doubt he is untradable. But think a wing-starved team like NJD would hold onto him and see how he does in KHL this season.

The main issue is that this trade doesn't suit either team's current needs.

Might be the only Dunn trade I'd like to see. Not sure if NJ would do it tho, might be better for them to trust Smith/Walsh and draft another impact forward.

Just throwing this out there but I think Dunn belongs in San Jose. Only so they can chant his name to the jaws shark attack.

Dun-n . . . Dun-n. . Dun-n Dun-n Dun-n Dun-n Dun-n Dun-n ,you get my drift

I’d argue the Blues biggest need is a long-term scoring threat

Devils can also flip Bozak at the deadline with retention and get a nice piece back.

None of the Blues' primary needs are long term.

Yeah but they need a short-term scorer as well and I think a top-10 pick could be that guy

You think a draft pick is going to jump straight in to spell Vladdy? Cmon.

Well no, but we need some scoring With elite potential and that scoring has to cost no money

Ideally, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I don’t know if he has enough dimensions to be a really good offensive player at 5v5. I think he’ll be money on the powerplay though.

I don;t see why he wouldn't be capable 5v5. His compete level is rising fast, his skating is deluxe and he easily gets between the circles. He's not just a perimeter player. And I'd think he'll reach potential sooner than any 2020 late top 10 pick.

Let’s hope so, I think he’s good but I definitely understand why Berube is hesitant to use him. His off-puck reads and offense leave a lot to be desired and his board play is pretty crappy. Luckily, he should be able to get the puck on his stick a lot more with more ice-time where he can shine.

Berube has been more and more complimentary about his play as time goes on. But you;re right, I think we'll see him get a lot more ice time when next season begins. I'm honestly still not sure which linemates he best fits with, though. Maybe RobTom and someone meaty on the boards, like Sanford?
