Well with the fact that there's a Flat Cap for the next 3 years I think GM’s are gonna be worried about signing someone for a ton of money if the cap doesn’t move ,it could royally f*** them so I think prices are gonna start dropping but then again I’m not a sports analyst I'm just some guy on Capfriendly

All it ever takes is for one team to push the envelope though (See: Minnesota-League/owners whining about profits/bad contracts, etc. Bettman thinks he's got them all together to suppress player salaries, then as soon as offseason begins, Wild sign 2 of the biggest contracts ever at the time in Parise/Suter). There's a pretty big need for RD's out there. I don't think he gets a ton more, but $5-5.5 seems reasonable over a 3-4 year term. I definitely don't see him getting a pay cut like you've given him though.
