But you won't be able to sign Ovy at the end of the year. Is that your intention ?

This is a much lower cost way to get Hall. Because teams are allowed to exceed the salary cap by 10% during the offseason, there's no need to start getting crazy on giving away guys for nothing, before talking to Hall and finding out whether it's realistic.

There's a couple Pens fans trading Dominic Simon for Hagelin. Seems close enough to fair, once they stopped demanding retention.

Wonder if Buffalo have cap space to trade Miller for Kempny plus Panik.

I would do that Simon for Hagelin trade. I like Hags but Simon is really freakn good defensively and younger and cheaper.

Well one of Oshie or Eller would be taken by Seattle. Could also move a guy like Jensen or Miller to make room if needed.

Hagelin is a one-man penalty kill who reliably gets thirty points every year they let him on the ice. Simon is younger and cheaper and that's what the Caps need right now. Pens fans are divided on the question, but if the price is right, they know what he can do.
