Nice try
Alzner vs Vlasic + 2020 1st + 2021 1st we probably decline too
Without Danault ... that’s how bad Vlasic contract is

If you retained half of Vlasics salary and a good to decent asset they might be interested but still a stretch

Setting aside that Montreal will scoff at that, is it really a good idea for the Sharks to give up two 1sts for what would probably be one year of Danault? It's not like you guys are one piece away from winning next season.

If he se-signs, I’d say yeah it’s worth it. Otherwise probably not. His cap hit is really what’s attractive to us.

Okay, but if he re-signs it won't be at that cap hit.

No you’re right. What I mean is his cap hit this year specifically. He’s a steal at under 3.1 mill. Buys us time to dump a large contract or two.

Well...... I still think Vlasic is a usefull player. And I'm pretty sure Habs Front Office + clubhouse leaders feel the same way...

That being said, he does come with a realy bad contract. Only way to trade him is to retain at least 25% and/or take back another bad contract that still has term.

In the trade that you are proposing, would the Sharks still be interested in that package for Danault if you had to retain 25% of Vlasic's contract? My guess is that it would be very bad for the Sharks...
