I don't know how other fans would feel about it but if I were making the decisions for the Jackets I think I would accept that trade.

I’d consider it depending on what stecher wants for a contract. If he’s anything over 2.5 Columbus cant afford it, I’m not 100% sure we can afford as it stands though either.

I think you find a way to make a lot of it work for Boeser. I think a 2nd- or 3rd-rounder is a better fit than yet another D. And Sutter could be flipped or bought out. But Boeser would instantly hit our top line, move Cam to the left side, and make our top 6 a lot more formidable.

Stecher replaces Savard in the top 4 and with Torts he could become a solid two way guy to pair with Gavrikov. As I said, it all comes down to cap space and resigning PLD, if we add too much cap and PLD gets on offersheet we can’t match it’s not worth it. Losing PLD isn’t worth adding another wing. Also I’m not convinced we need Boeser, he’s the exact same thing as Atkinson is and we already have Atkinson.

Not sure Cam and Boeser are the same, as Boeser has five inches and 33 pounds on Cam. But agreed, priority one is locking in PLD... which Jarmo should be doing ASAP.
