ottawa can keep or trade anderson. 1 year as a mentor at decent cap resign whatever .. much more valuable then what they gave up
pens get a pick and prospect . this seems low for murray .. but with flush market this year ..maybe the best pens can hope for .
toronto gets the goalie they reportedly want. cheap and a 6/7 rd ..
nothing flashy about this .. but it seems to look good for all 3 teams.

As a Sens fan I think we'll have to give up more then Riley if we want Anderson.

andersson for 1 yr .. he wants out of toronto .. if im ottawa ... toronto is lucky im giving them that much for what amounts to a dump.. with the 3 team toronto is getting murray and a right D they need ..
more then enough .. i would have liked to put something else into the mix for pitts maybe a pick from ottawa 2nd or 3rd .. but this fits all 3 teams needs. ottawa gets a mentor pens get decent not great return for murray.. toronto gets rid of andersson and gets murray ..

Yea, but the Leaf could trade him to a team that needs a good goalie (Flames, Oilers, Hurricanes, etc) and get at least a 1st rounder for him.

if andersson had more then 1 yr left then maybe he would be worth a 1st .. but as is toronto will be lucky to get a Rd and anything else for him.. no team would give up a 1st for 1 yr rental at goalie position. unless guarenteed resign. 12 to 14 goalies that will possible be available fa ufa cap reason .. so FA and lesser trades. market flooded and with likely cap frozen at 81.5m for next yr and very likely the following year also ... so i dont see goalies having huge cap hits maybe 2 of them get the boom contracts the rest prob get mid range .. but it also could go exact opposite way with the condensed schedule expected for next year and the olympics on top of that the market could go wild .. it will definate be interesting .. next yr will be very important to have that high end back up ..

I mean Its not a bad trade, personally as someone who doesn't like the leafs I think Anderson is better than Murray but it looks like the leafs are interested in moving him.
