Revamped D Puck retriever for Petey Better Bottom 6 Cap Sapce

Created by: dan16
Team: 2020-21 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 8, 2020
Published: Sep. 9, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Moved Boeser, cause it will be hard to keep him in the fold after this year, got a cost controlled, available, RD in Dumba.

Moved Sutter to Pittsburgh, cause Rutherford.

Had to give up Demmer to move Eriksson, OTT says yes because after paying Loui his bonus, his actual dollars owed are 3 Million, not 6. Need to hit the cap floor. He helps them do that.

Made a somewhat lateral move in bringing in Josh Anderson, had to throw in a 4th as Jake's ceiling is lower than what Anderson is.

CBJ does us a solid in taking Baertschi? Not sure here, just really need to move that salary. Lol

Ottawa would say yes. As far as the goalies that could be on the market go, Demko is the one they'd target, and he's worth picking up that Eriksson deal for. I think considering they're taking him back they might feel a 2nd and 4th is a little rich but they would probably be competing with a few teams for it so yeah, they'd do it.

The first Columbus trade is solid, just remove the picks and it’s a pretty even swap imo.

We just can’t afford Baertchi. There’s only 2 years who can takle cap dumps and that’s Ottawa and Detroit...

a 2nd for Sutter has to be a joke

JR overpays for players he likes, he already shipped out Sutter once so I assume he's not too attached

they would be better off just letting Bjugstad try and stay healthy, there's better options at the deadline for half that cost

He gave up 1 prospect and a 1st for what he believes is a top 6 winger. A slight overpayment, still an overpayment I will give you that.

Meh to the Columbus trade. Nothing I’ve seen about Virtanen suggests he’d do well here.

We also really can’t afford Sven Baertschi.

Hard pass from the wild. Giving up dumba and a quality C for boeser isn’t happening. Love Boeser, but they need centers not a rw and certainly won’t give up our best center for anything less than a better center. Would love boeser but would be for dumba straight up if anything.

Exactly, all of his prospects.
