avs decline. They arent adding a goalie.
Demko had a nice playoff run for a few games but hes not some starter savior.

Your avs had a serious shot at the cup if u had a solid backup.
A serious, serious shot at the whole shebang.

Francouz is a solid back up
Avs didnt have bad goaltending, they had injured goalies, and that included Francouz int he playoffs, he was playing hurt.

Injuries suck but people are acting like bad goalie performances beat them...injuries did

Tampa view point. TB right side defense Shattenkirk, Bogosian are UFA and getting more than 3 million minimum. Rutta a UF getting around 2 million. The only one remaining is Foote and he has yet to play an NHL game. Can you explain why TB does this when they have just a couple of more years before a rebuild?

He has been regarded as the best goalie prospect in the world for the past 3-4 years and finally showing why. He’s not some flash in the pan like the hamburgler was for ottawa

If they didnt have their starting goalie injured they would have beaten dallas. And if they didnt have their back up playing hurt they might have won as well.
They were injured. Demko wasnt injured so sure he would have won.

But hes still a 1B goalie, hes not an everyday starter, He had an unreal 4 game run in the playoffs, there is no denying that, but as a back up in the regular season. Pretty below average numbers. Lets not pretend the regular season didnt happen

The main piece in the Tampa trade is Brogan Rafferty. He was the 3rd highest scoring Defensemen in the AHL last year and is likely ready to play NHL minutes this year. Canucks best RHD prospect. His contract next season is 700k. Obviously, Cernak is the more certain player, which is why the Canucks add a 1st, but Rafferty is the one if the cheapest RHD you can find. He’s a good skater with good vision and puck mobility. Helps with Tampa’s cap problems

It is a good reason but would you have a right side that has two rookies Foote and Rafferty be top pairing while you go for the cup in 2021? I do not see it.

Because if you don't take the deal he is gonna get OS which you won't be able to match. As far as I'm concerned trading a 1st and Rafferty is an overpayment I'd offer a 2nd and Rafferty and that's about it

the deal is fair but at 3 we sign him. If you get his rights what says he doesn't get another offer sheet much higher. Of the three he is the most important. Hedman and McDonah ahead of Serg. Point Stamkos are ahead of Cirelli. Johnson or Gourde can replace Cirelli.

I would strongly consider the Manson trade. I was impressed with Stecher during the playoffs.

You’re completely wrong. If you watched the Canucks regular season Demko was solid, numbers don’t tell the whole story. He’s ready to be an everyday starter don’t be foolish

If he’s so ready then why aren’t the canucks keeping him, exactly he’s not.

If he was so good and so ready then a team like the canucks who are in a cap crunch would play the younger cheaper goalie.

Canucks would trade him in this scenerio because they are getting an asset back for them and they have Markstrom already. Goal tending is an area of strength so it makes sense to use that strength to improve a different area on the roster, in this case the defense.

However, Jim Benning has already stated publicly he wants to go into next season with both goalies.

Anyways, Demko is definitely worth a late first. If Colorado doesn’t want him, another team would

You could get that from a team who is looking for that goalie of the future to age with their core but Avs just dont have that luxury of taking a gamble on a guy who has never been a full starter in the league.
They did that with Grubauer and its fine just wish he was healthier. If he didnt have some rough injury seasons, avs goalies would not be a topic of conversation.

If avs were to invest in a goalie move its in a clear upgrade and established fulltime starter....those arent easy to get, just dont see them heading down the gamble on a 1st time starter again

Who said we aren’t keeping him? Smfh. We also have Markstrom who’s been a top 5 goalie this year maybe that’s a reason why Demko could be dealt...man oh man🤦🏻‍♂️

The guy who is trying to trade him isnt keeping him

You know what this whole roster is about...SMH
Also sounds like you aer going to lose Markstrom who is a UFA, the team isnt close to a deal and your GM just said he has earned the right to test the market.
