Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Bratt, Jesper [RFA Rights]
  2. 2020 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
oilers are willing to trade larsson for a winger to play with mcdavid as larssons contract is up this year and getting rid of larsson allows the oilers to go for a right shot dman in FA.
NJD
  1. Larsson, Adam
Additional Details:
devils need help defensively and they bring in larsson whos already familiar with the organization.
2.
EDM
  1. 2020 2nd round pick (STL)
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
oilers have no need for AA because of the bratt trade. chiasson is a cap dump. oilers acquire a 2nd and a 3rd since they dont have any this year
MTL
  1. Athanasiou, Andreas [RFA Rights]
  2. Chiasson, Alex
Additional Details:
montreal acquire a speedy skilled winger/center for top 6, AA could possibly replace domi if they move on from him. they also acquire a middle 6 winger who is from montreal and can help their powerplay as a net front presence. montreal is in need of depth so this trade helps them a lot.
3.
EDM
  1. 2020 5th round pick (OTT)
Additional Details:
Oilers would also acquire Aaron Dells signing rights in this trade as he can be a cheap option as a 1b goalie. oilers dump russells contract

Additional Details:
sharks acquire defensive help in russell although hes overpaid its only for a year
4.

Additional Details:
oilers would also acquire Erik Haulas signing rights he can be the oilers 3rd line center that they desperately need. oilers also trade nurse as hes been a defensive liability and has not done anything overly impressive offensively to be asking for 8 millon dollar aav contracts. oilers also move up in the draft from 14 to 12 in order to have a better shot to pick between either seth jarvis or jack quinn who are forward prospects the oilers desperately need
FLA
  1. Nurse, Darnell

Cannot see NJD trading Jesper Bratt for anything short term. He is young, under control for their rebuild, and after Hughes, Hischier and Blackwood, is probably the next cornerstone piece there. He is going to be a stud.

oops my bad i didnt mean rfa signing rights i meant u trade for the player on draft day so u have first dibs on him in the resing stage instead of letting him go to FA where another team can snag him. example is when flyers traded for kevin hayes from winnpeg for like a 5th round pick just so they can sign him

Not a fan of any trade except the New Jersey, and SAN Jose ones. New Jersey wouldn’t do that in a million years though. I wish they would. I would give Bear a 2 year prove it deal, and Barrie only like 1-2 years, because Bouchard will take his spot in a few. I also think Puljujarvi is coming back to play with McDavid. I’m so excited for that! Broberg most likely won’t be up as well. I don’t mind the Russell and Khaira trades though. If we somehow got Bratt I would I want to lock him up at 8 years, he got 32 points on a bad team imagine what he could get with McDavid.

russell is a good 3rd pair guy but yeah the contract is a lot. it really depends on if sharks believe they can make the playoffs or not if they dont they take the deal if they do they try and get a better option

i was thinking either larsson for domi or for bratt i just went for the cheaper option but bratt does show a lot of promise so devils might want a pick back in return as well too sweeten the deal or a prospect

so you are giving them nurse to move up 2 spots and have a couple extra days to try and sign huala.... sounds like a perfectly awful idea.

I would not give barrie that long of term or that money based off his last season as well with bear and bouchard coming in.
also wouldnt give benning 2 million maybe 1.5 as he will end up as 6-7 dman.

also i know alot of peopl always say you cant trade russell. i think you can with out retaining as may teams have internal caps but will still need to get to the cap floor. russell only makes 1.5mill this year with a 4 mill cap hit looks perfect for an ottawa or a NJD.

lmaoooooo cant have **** in detroit frown. holland has done great with the oilers so far from picking to coach to getting key players like archibald and sheahan and somehow getting rid of lucics contract. hope he doesnt do whatever tf he did in detroit cause yikess...

Remember after his signing bonus (which he has gotten his signing bonus) he is 1.5M. That’s all they have to pay. He is a good bottom pairing defence man. I don’t think San Jose is a team that would want him, because they aren’t contending. Maybe Winnipeg?

signing rights for a 3rd line center is worth like a conditional 7th rounder max.

Is the Florida trade a joke? Oilers move up 2 picks and get rid of Nurse? If you are picking a in the 10-20 range, its an absolute crap shoot. A guy ranked 10 can easily fall to 20. Moving up 2 picks in that range is not worth Darnell Nurse. I am an Oilers fan and don't like Nurse that much, as he certainly has break downs, but you are clueless if you think his value is equivalent to moving up from 14 to 12. Not even close.

We do think we can, and we have no need for an overpaid third pairing guy, we need a top six forward to be better

No one wants him, and its not because of real salary its because of his cap hit.

+ Bratt is 20 years old and fits the timeline and he can play either side. No chance we trade him.

And they buried him for half the year. Wasn’t until they let Gusev and Bratt loose with defensive C when they both took off...and were nearly PPG guys for 2nd half.

yeah i was thinking either domi or bratt but ig devils fans love him so i doubt that trade happens. bear if he does good in his prove contract hes gonna want a whole lot of money so maybe locking him up for a long time early is a risk that can be a big reward. barrie would not want a 1-2 year deal he wants to be stable and stay with a team at 29 years old. i think broberg or bouch can step in its either or

Yah he’s going to be insane! I would lock him up at 8 for sure. And hopefully for cheep, or you would regret it.

If NJD fans posted the asking price, you wouldn’t like it.

You know how every team has *that guy* ... Bratt is that guy

I wouldn’t want to regret Bears long term contract. I would do 2 year prove it. And for Barrie 1-2 year is fair, if he doesn’t want to come then he can be on a worse team for 5+ years. Bouchard will take his spot in a few.

i havent been a big fan of nurses play he just messes up simple easy defensive plays. i think seth jarvis or jack quinn can be very good in the future so moving up gives u an option to take either or. i would not pay nurse 8 million after this contract is up if he plays like he did last 2 years. barries gonna want a long term contract sooo idk maybe u go with vatanen instead
