I don't think that Talbot gets that much, but that third line is really bad.

Not bad just inexperienced, Noah and Blichfeld are by far our best forward prospects and give them a year mentorship with one of the all time greats would be smart. I like the idea even if it would be rough here and there but I really feel this would be good for our future.

As a Sharks fan, we learned our lesson last year that we cant rely on the young guys, so I wouldnt expect especially Merkley, but also Blichfeld and Gregor to be part of the team's roster

Sign me up for a 5x5 or 6mx4 for Toffoli as well as that Labanc deal (basically anything under 3.8m for 3yrs is a win if DW can do it).

If the Sharks don't get out of a large contract (i.e. Jones, Burns, or Vlasic), I really think DW will be "forced" to have faith in Jones and gamble on a backup at a cap hit of 1.5m maximum. He needs to spend that 3+m instead on guys like Fast, Leivo, Rutta, Demelo, Braun if he signs Toffoli to that deal. Although I do think that Blichfeld has a good chance to shock the team next year.

Basically, IMO sub in True for Gregor, DeMelo for Talbot (sign Forsberg/Hutch or even bring up Melnichuk), and sub Marleau for Reider and it's a very good offseason for me if I'm DW.
