Description
I don't know about the OTT trade (please fix as I realize value is most likely off). Trade could essentially be made with any team that has the space for a cap dump.

It will be an absolute travesty if teams do not offer sheet Tampa's RFAs this year. You either get a very good player at a manageable cost or you get to decide Tampa's cap situation for them.

Trade is okay, incentive is there to take him (Perreault). I think the 6th is a little low and I'm not sold on Stanley, though. A slight upgrade on both would be better but I get it, its not the biggest cap hit.

Agreed. I think they will do everything in their power to move out other contracts before they lose Cirelli, though. Guys like Gourde, Palat and Johnson will be gone before they lose Cirelli. Might not get the best returns, but it might be worth it.

Absolutely. JBB is going to have to be pretty aggressive at the draft.

The players Tamps would like to cap dump all have NTCs. McDonagh, Johnson, Gourde, Palat, etc.

It's going to have to be an overpay to convince him to sign it and leave the taxless state of Florida.

I get that, but Tampa will have a hard time matching a $5M offer sheet. So maybe something in between ... what will the Jets offer Laine as an RFA next year? (And still have cap space)

True, I definitely went on the higher end of AAV but I figured we would have to beat out other teams as well. As for cap space, I think it would be tight but with the expansion draft (probably losing Copp) and Lowry's contract expiring I think it could work. Probably would have to be a trade somewhere as well to move out more salary though.
