If Preds give up assets for another Center then we are assuming they're able to get rid of at least 2 of the following: Johansen, Duchene, Bonino, Turris. No sense adding Strome to that mess otherwise. I don't think it's likely.

Good point but i was really thinking of Strome as a RW were he might be better suited & has played a fair amount over his career.
Also gives the Preds flexibility IF they did want to move Johansen or Bonino which is a rumor or buy out Turris.

Yes, this is True!
This scenario was the "get assets & try to move up from 22 " model
Also, this is a day one Roster, where K.Miller, Y. Rykov are not a factor but hopefully rounding out their game in Hartford. (Same with V. Kravstov & dare i say L.Andersson!) Although, i think Rykov is done playing in NA if hes not on the big club roster. Nor do i see L. Andersson in a blue ranger sweater in the future.

Keep Georgiev and buy out Lundqvist.... I would try to deal with the Flames send DeAngelo (DelZotto 2.0), Anderson and a pick for Lindholm.

OTT declines.

Not saying the value isnt right, you could get that from someone, its just not the right fit for Ottawa

Bought out Staal instead of Hank. Looking at 21/22 as a year to really contend with all the cash off the books. (Hank, Smith)
and the buyout dollars more manageable with the large chunks to Staal & Shattenkirk paid out.

Interesting? #52 & #71 for a young RFA goalie ? Especially with OTTs current goalie situation & their abundance of picks in the 2020 draft. I know there are a lot of goalies on the UFA market but they'll cost more dollars than AG & frankly, it may be a tough sell to get a UFA goalie to OTT without overpaying. (due to Ottawa's recent seasons, i hear it's lovely place to live!)
Curious , what your offer for AG would be?

Thats the point, the value is fine, its just that OTT shouldnt be making an offer for a goalie right now. There shouldnt be an offer.

1. We still have NIlsson on the books, and his last 2 seasons in Ottawa have been just as good as Georgiev in NYR

2. We are not trying to compete next year

3. OTT has a ton of goalie prospects developing.

I would rather OTT stay out of the goalie market this year, and then make a move next year once we know what we have.
