I think Dermott isn't a bad fit for the Rangers (although a pairing with him and DeAngelo is very offensively oriented). I don't want to trade two solid skaters for a backup/tandem goalie. That's robbery. If the Leafs do get Georgiev (for the 7 first round picks Rangers fans seem to want), he probably fits well.

Signing Brodie long-term is a huge mistake. I'd rather sign two lesser pieces or try to use trade chips to acquire an RHD (Andersen for Brodin is a potential building block). Hamonic fits better, so does Demelo for less.

Georgiev does not fetch a 1st round pick

I agree there are many other options for the Leafs on RHD but Brodie is someone they have wanted for a while so i can see them going after him

Now that's a very strong basis for an AG trade. Add a 3rd and I'd strongly consider it.
