Jesus Christ!!! I hope we can get half of that value for Domi! I really don't think he's worth a 1st AND mittelstadt...

We aren’t trading Domi for a guy that could be a 3C and a 2022 1st.

No chance the Sabres aren’t a bottom 6 or 7 team in the league. (Depending on the Coyotes obviously. Plus if they finish 8th last the odds are minuscule that they fall out of the top 10)

How? They’re barely better. This team isn’t finishing top 3 in the Atlantic, and they definitely aren’t finishing ahead of 4 teams in the Metro. Their defense and goaltending is still below average.

Rather not trade for Kempny, Keep Miller, Trade Montour and just pull up Bryson on D. Sign UFA for 3rd line to replace tage

Bryson? Kempny is a much better option.

Do you know what the roster looked like last year? I'm 100% confident they make it. Only one way to see but...

Betting on the Sabres is a strategy that rarely works out. I thought they’d make the playoffs in previous year, but I keep underestimating just how bad they can be. PHI, WSH, NYI, NYR, CAR, PIT, and potentially CBJ are better than this team. And there’s something to be said about how the Sabres (like the Panthers) always seem to find ways to lose or underwhelm.

The defense was actually pretty solid this year. It was the PK and having a goalie with vision issues was the biggest problem. Krueger’s coaching decisions also were a problem too. Considering they were still in the race when Ullmark got injured in late January I think they can at least compete for a wild card spot this season.

I like your ideas.
I definitely like the idea of getting Kempný.
He would round out our defense LH and RD.
Plus he brings in playoff experience.
Domi is the prize jewel in your team,
I wonder if he have to give Mittelstadt and a first.
But that is minor, Getting Domi is good
Baertschi, for Hutton I guess it gives us an NHL forward, but at $3,366,666 to sit in the press box.
I like getting Roslovic .
Is he an upgrade over Johansson?
Similarly is Mrázek and upgrade over Hutton?
I wonder how many people remember Hutton set a Sabre record for most saves to get a shut out.
Take out his 12 losing streak when he was blind, I am pretty sure he out performed Mrázek.
Finally, I would rather keep the rights to Pilut if all I am getting is a fifth.

But to your point, adding Domi, Cozens and Kempný would obviously improve this team.
IMO Mike Bales improved the play of both GK (hard to see it when one was blind).
The defense was solid as only 8 teams gave up fewer 5 on 5 goals and they all made the playoffs.
Krueger was the biggest mistake Botterill made.
Miller, Montour, Okposo, Vesey, Sheary, Rodrigues, Hutton and of Skinner, all had career worse years.
If the pieces fell right, I could see the Sabres making the playoffs next year.
Dahlin, Ristolainen and Eichel will all be better next year.
Cozens, Skinner and Kahun should add a lot.
Get more movement on the PK and PP to improve that performance and who knows.

So I am the eternal optimist.
Let's hope Krueger can get the most of the players instead of the least.

Thanks! the extra moves like Mrazek and Baertschi is just a matter of changing things up. Baertschi may sit in the PB but he'd be more useful there than Hutton in the minors
