What I fully expect

Created by: ChiHawk
Team: 2020-21 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 10, 2020
Published: Sep. 10, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Barely any moves is likely the reality. Maatta gets bought out or traded and Caggs will get traded or let go.

Not a fan of this but I believe this where the team is headed for next year.

I’d be more than willing to take drake back. Trading him to Chicago wasn’t anything near the most damaging trade charelli made but might have been the stupidest. I would have fired him on the spot for acquiring manning.

Just the optics alone from trading for the guy who not only broke your best players collarbone as a rookie, but who also later said he did it on purpose should have gotten Chiarelli kicked out of Edmonton after being tarred and feathered.

I am not waving a Charelli flag here, but in fairness, the Oilers were decimated with injuries on the blue line. Acquiring Manning was seen as a stop gap measure without it breaking the bank (asset wise) Manning’s tenure as an Oiler and sudden banishment to their farm team magnified the trade. There are far more devastating deals Charelli managed which make the Caggiula/Manning trade an after thought.

Exactly. I don’t actually believe for a second manning intended to cause that significant of an injury. But you gotta show support and respect for your player and all charelli had to do was not acquire him and he ****** that right up.

Yes I agree it wasn’t his most damaging trade but it wasn’t a good sign of support towards his best player and to me that’s a very significant aspect. He reportedly spoke to mcdavid months before about that as an option and got thumbs up from mcdavid but I personally don’t think that’s something the organization should have even entertained. Fact he was approached and asked about it soo far in advance shows the option was already on the table before the injuries piled up.

Strome will get more money on a bridge deal and suter should make the starting line up but roster looks accurate. The stan bowman post dynasty specialty: underwhelming trades and "we like our team"

I really do not want to see kookoo on the team . To soft and to many giveaways every game . Carlsson is a better option . So is Seabrook

I wouldn't be so sure of that and he's not arbitration eligible.

Suter maybe, but depends on how camp and preseason goes for him.

Hes better than all those bridge deal comparables, if his less talented brother got 3.1 he should be getting around 3.5. Especially if we have cap space available. Bowman always like to spend up to the limit.

The difference is all those bridge deals were signed during a increase in cap and Dylan has no arbitration rights. He may not get $3M.
