Description
So, one big signing in Hoffman, the rest moves to give Domi somewhere else to go, and get a good return with a player who had a bad year. Oilers need a good forward, MTL needs another solid Dman, minor changes in terms of cap space. Give Evans his chance since he did well enough during playoffs. And that's it.

Domi has more value than Anderson, and the 2nd round pick does not balance it

That’s actually not a bad offer for larsson. I still doubt he’s on the block just because of the oilers depth on right side isn’t strong enough for top four options. I think it really goes unappreciated how tough of minutes he plays throwing bear into that task completely risking the same mistake made with shultz.

You can’t be serious, we would offer Suzuki for Chiasson and you’ll say : I’m not sure, Chiasson is good on the PP, good front presence, but good offer ! Like wtf Tatar vs Larsson this is a complete joke

It’s really not he just doesn’t seem to get appreciated for the tougher minutes he does play. It’s a legit solid offer likely the most fair I’ve seen but that doesn’t instantly mean it’s smart. Forcing too much on young d can completely destroy them hence Shultz exactly what Edmonton did to him don’t want happening to bear. Bouch hasn’t proven anything at nhl level so expecting a significant role from him wouldn’t be smart approach. Oilers don’t have a top four replacement ready yet. Unless a replacement is brought in it doesn’t make sense and just puts the good youth in a risky position. I’ve seen the results of that am 100% against seeing it happen again. It’s actually the definition of insanity.
I’m not sure how that can relate to Chiasson you can have him for a mid round pick. I am picky about accepting deals because I consider the consequences behind them.

I understand you don’t want to throw the youngsters too fast. But almost every EDM fans are trading Larsson for space parts, I think he’s worth a 2nd + another mid round pick but Tatar is a legit top6 winger, you don’t trade that for a defensive defenseman #4-5

I don’t think most people really take into consideration the cause and effect some trades would cause. I also really think it’s clear shutdown types always seem to get viewed with much less than a realistic value because fans like point producers. Yes he’s not a typical top pairing but he has done a satisfactory job in that role. In my opinion until bear proves in his second year he’s capable and doesn’t have a soft more slump or a replacement is brought in which good luck finding someone that makes equal or less capable of playing against top lines I just don’t see how can move him. It’s very risky move not one can just turn around and fix guys like him are incredibly tough to come by I’m not sure why sooo many seem to struggle to see that. Oilers spent YEARS searching and trying eventually costing them hall. It’s not a smart position to put the team in.
