How many years should he get? If the Habs could lock him up long term at that cap it might be a big steal.

Why would Montreal get an extra pick if Anderson plays MORE for them? They'd already be getting more value out of him.

Domi >> Anderson
If we want Anderson, it’s because he would fit well WITH Domi
Find another way to acquire him ( offersheet ) instead

If I’m Columbus, the only reason I let go of him is if I can acquire a 2C. Right now, Domi doesn’t really seem to want to play wing and there is no space up the middle. This is a great trade for both teams.

Oh ya. That’s my fault. I meant for the pick going the other way. I’ll fix that.

Domi is a way better player than Anderson

People forget that Anderson had 27 goals a couple years ago. For a power forward, that is very impressive. The Habs should be looking to pick up some size and scoring this offseason, much like an Armia-esque player and he fits the build. Columbus won’t move him for nothing and realistically this would be pretty close to the deal.

And Domi did 28 goals 72 points so yes we could acquire Anderson but not at the price of Max Domi. Anderson score one goal on a down season while Domi registered 44 points playing botton six most of the season ( because he wanted to stay Center but everyone knows that by now )

See my problem with Domi is that he doesn’t want to buy into the plan. Obviously, there is no room at center which would logically mean he would move to the LW. He just seems to be so stubborn about it and we know that Berge doesn’t tolerate any bs. It would just be a good move to be able to acquire that big scorer if Domi can’t buy in.

He played on the Wing at the end of the playoffs
Trade Danault keep Domi at Center

See, it'll be hard to find another center that is top 5 in Selke voting and will be a finalist in the next couple years. However, I think it is much easier to find a 50-65 point center or winger. Personally, I wasn't happy with either of them this postseason, but if I had to choose one, it would be Domi as the odd man out.

Anderson played 26 games lol. You cannot compare the two of them this season. Also, I'm not saying that Anderson is worth as much as Domi, but I do think that Domi's value is down right now and it would be a good move to bring in a scoring power forward. 6'3" 222lbs is a big boy, and with the scoring touch, it's a good deal for us.
