With a bunch of teams out of the Eichel race due to internal cap pressures, this is a worst case scenario Eichel deal where he hears about the internal cap, gets toxic, and the idiot owners decide to move him because...well...they're idiots. No real sustainable business justification for this but...

I dont understand the Dvorak trade. You are talking about going full rebuild then trading the 8th overall away.

Well, you have him locked up for 5 years at under $5M. But you're probably right. Maybe trade for 1 year of Stepan and trade him at the deadline instead.

This doesmt make much sense. You want a cheap cost control player use the 8th oa pick. They won't be in the league for a year and then 3 year rookie deal.
