There was a rumor is Dougie for Anderson 1for1.
I figured throwing in mzarek and a 2nd for Nylander would make it easier for them to pull the trigger.
Chicago is in need of a netminder, so why not mzarek? Plus they pick up a good Defensive forward with speed and reliable on penalty kill for potentially a 5th. If not they get both players for a first. Seems fair to me.

Dougie for Freddie, 1 for 1 eh? Guy who likely would have finished top 3 in the Norris race if he hadn't been injured vs. guy who had the worst statistical season of his career. Where'd you hear that rumor? Eklund? Nick Kypreos? Some other talking head who is full of balogna?

You mean some idiot Leafs blogger wrote a post where in fantasy land Hamilton for Andersen was a fair trade, and that became a “rumor”?...please...

Anyway, I’d do your proposed trade easily, assuming the Canes couldn’t afford to sign Hamilton

Yeah, I don't really get the Freddie to Carolina rumors. Doesn't seem like an affordable move without sending back someone big, but at the same time, I don't think Carolina should be sending Hamilton or Pesce when defense wasn't their problem.
