Hertl's nice but that EK contract is painful.

Imo SJ adds to compensate for the loss of money.

Make the 2020 2nd in the NYR trade the Sharks one, and the Rangers say yes

I mean Vlasic's contract is probably the worst in the league, so dumping it is a very costly process.

I mean, it's a bit on the high side, but he's definitely not terrible or anything.
plus local guy, I can see them taking this for cheaper than you're proposing (especially considering we don't have much on the left side beyond Romanov )

No they dont. They take Lehkonen and Juulsen out of the trade and then go from there

I don’t want Burns. He is 35 and signed until he’s 40 at 8mil cap... the kicker is that his deal is structured so that his is actually buyout proof. So assuming he doesn’t become the Burns of yesteryear, that contract is an anchor for keeping the talent that we have been drafting and developing. We’d basically be hoping for that layers to pull a Leblanc and take a **** deal for the chance at winning. We see how well that worked for him this year.

2 first round picks, a top pairing LD (which habs are missing) and a third line LW who kills penalties.

in exchange for Lehkonen who's ceiling is likely 40-45 points, Juulsen who may never play at the NHL level again, clearing a dead Alzner contract, and a third liner in Byron who hasn't been healthy in over 2 years.

It's literally a wash in cap room.

Vlasic > Juulsen
1st rd > Lehkonen
1st rd >>>>> Alzner

Byron > Sorenson.

come on.

Vlasic has one of the worst contracts in the league and hasnt been a top pairing player for a couple years now. His contract would cost the Sharks multiple 1st rounders to move, not actually get anything of value back

Burns puts this team at another level. I'd rather have Burns for 5 years till he's 40 than Voracek for 4 more years till he's 35. Defensemen tend to play longer than forwards and still be productive. Voracek might have 1 good season left and he's trending toward just being okay. Lebanc for Ghost is probably the best return for Ghost right now.
