It’s not the Canucks who would need to retain salary in this deal Eriksson has already been paid his last bonus for the contract and it only owed 2.5m x 2 so in order for this to work Anaheim would need to retain on there side

That being said Benning said yesterday that they will talk to Eriksson about the options they have with him. ie trade, mutual termination or minors

im 50% on kesler being on LTIR for the rest of his contract .. and most importantly anaheim has zero cap space and still needs to sign a back up .. so they are gonna have to move a player to get under the cap .. so they can sign a back up.

Yeah Ducks cant really afford to move Kesler and take cap back. Stolarz should be the back up though, was great in the AHL last year and has past NHL experience making 750k

No reason for the ducks to do this trade. Y'all are stuck with him. Gonna have to pay someone to get him out.
